Tips for making the most of YA Daily Dose

  1. Start with a prayer. Praying is just a conversation with God, much like conversing with your best friend. We need to listen up as much as we speak up. Which leads to #2...
  2. It doesn't matter where you start. What matters is that you just start. So whether it's a few verses or all of a testament, take some time out everyday to get YA Daily Dose of God's Word. It'll change your life.
  3. If you read something that resonates within you, jot it down, highlight it, or even journal about it. Then figure out how to apply it today. Like it says in James 2:17, "Faith without good works is dead."
  4. Share what you've learned. St. Francis of Assisi said, "Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary." Live the faith and remember, it's all about choices.

Year of the Priest prayer

Loving God, in this Year for Priests you call all our hearts once more to come and follow you and be a community of faith, love and hope. We pray for our priests. May their hearts' connection with you be strong and true. May they daily risk the road of following in your footsteps. Keep them open to the adventure of life where they meet you day by day, and especially in your people. Remind them often of their inner goodness. We thank you for their call to be your disciples, proclaim the Word and celebrate the Eucharist and the Sacraments. Strengthen us all to accept your covenant and give us all the love to carry out your command to serve the World with compassion. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
