+Lenten Fish Fridays+
"Blow the trumpet in Zion! Proclaim a fast, call an assembly; gather the people, notify the congregation; assemble the elders, gather the children." -Joel 2:15-16
Why do Catholics give up things every year for 40 days? Why do they only eat fish on Fridays? How can I grow during these 40 days of Lent? How can I give up, and give back?
Come every Friday during Lent (February 17th-April 4th) to find these answers, and ask your own! We'll meet in the YA office at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (14085 Peyton Dr., Chino Hills, Ca 91722) at 5:30 pm to discuss Lent and how we can spiritually grow together, and on our own during this time! Lent is not only a time of fasting and sacrifice, but a time of celebration; of waiting for the coming of our Lord on Easter! Therefore, we'll be enjoying delicious fish and fellowship at Johnny Rockets after discussion time! (Don't worry, we can continue to discuss during dinner if you'd like!)
